Tadoba National Park

Tadoba National Park, also known as Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve, is one of the largest and oldest national parks in Maharashtra, India. Located in the Chandrapur district, it covers an area of 1,727 square kilometers and is part of the Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve, which was established in 1955.

Tiger Reserve

Tadoba is renowned for its significant population of Bengal tigers. It is one of the top destinations for tiger sightings in India, with the chance to spot these majestic animals in their natural habitat.

Plants and Animals

Tadoba's dry forests, rich with teak and bamboo, are home to tigers, leopards, sloth bears, and various deer species. It also boasts over 195 bird species, including eagles and Indian pitta.

Andhari River

The park is named after Tadoba Lake and the Andhari River, which flow through it. These water sources are crucial for animals and are also home to crocodiles.

Safari Experience

Tadoba offers jeep safaris twice daily, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. Experienced guides help visitors spot animals and understand the environment.

Popular entry points for safaris include Kolara Gate, Alizanza Gate ,Navegaon Gate And Moharli Gate.
